And Jewish historians teach that on the last great day of the feast in Israel, the priests would come out from the temple and they would take large barrels that had been filled with water and they would empty the barrels, and the water would come streaming down the steps of the temple there in Jerusalem.  And the water would run into the streets.

And on that last great day of the feast, the people, the Jews, who had come from all over the known world to Jerusalem, which was required by the law of Moses, they would come and in their excitement, in their exuberance, they would begin to dance in the water.

Now picture this scene.  Jesus is standing there.  His disciples were there.  The priests had come out.  The water had been spilled out of the barrels.  The water was running down the steps, running into the streets of Jerusalem.  And the people are dancing before the Lord in the water.  You got a picture of it.

Jesus elbows Peter and says, “Look at that.  You think that water that they’re dancing in is something.  You just wait.  Out of your belly is going to flow rivers of living water.”  Now the scripture says He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, which had not yet been given.  Why?  Because Jesus had not yet gone to the cross.

So Jesus was speaking of a day that was coming when He would go to the cross, cut a new covenant in His shed blood, have His back bloodied and striped for our healing, go to the grave, three days, rise from the dead, ascend to heaven, and send the Holy Spirit, the divine Paraclete, the one called along beside us to help.

But Jesus is saying, “Now out of your belly is going to flow rivers of living water.”

It was the time to take all the spiritual insight inside of him, because when you are depressed? and did you see how many people came down for severe depression?  I mean, come on, this is the body of Christ, this is in a minister’s conference.  These are people who are preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the line for depression was so long from that corner to that corner, that, what?  We repeated three times?

Do you see that Satan is putting a cloud over people?  And the only way for that cloud to be broken is for a spiritual impartation from the Holy Spirit.  I couldn’t have prayed that out.  I couldn’t have said that out.  We had to blow it out through the Holy Spirit and take the power that was within him, because he has the spirit of joy on him.  And the spirit of joy had to be transmitted out of him and into them, to break the spiritual bondage off of them.

I am sick and tired of the body of Christ being sick and tired!  Christians are the sickest, poorest bunch on the face of the earth, and Satan is happy about it.

How many of you have ever quoted a Scripture that says, “The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous?”  But we’re broke!  How many of you have said, “My God shall heal me.  My God shall supply all my needs.  I’m the Lord that health thee.”  But we’re sick as dogs!

If John G. Lake, in 1870, could get a hold of the fact that we can be contagious.  If Jeremiah can say, “I’ve got fire shut up in my bones!”  If Ezekiel can be stone cold, dropped dead in a grave, and his bones carry such anointing that when the presence of a dead man got thrown on his grave, the dead man came to life? isn’t it time that we came to life in the body of Christ?

“And I sat down beside him and I began to open the Scriptures, but then something inside of me,? and he said this is perfectly scriptural, out of my inner life, your spirit, Oral calls it your innermost being.  “That is the inner part of your being, shall flow rivers of living water.  Out of my spirit went into his spirit a spirit of healing.  I didn’t see it because he was very reticent.  He didn’t respond.  But I knew in me something had gone out of me.”

Didn’t Jesus say, “Who touched Me, for I knew virtue had come out of my body?”

“He said, I talked to him for a little while, and then I left.  But this afternoon a woman came and said that she was his wife.  And she said, “He wants to see you again.  He’ll come down to your hotel to see you.  I don’t think it’s right for me to ask you to come up there.”

“I said, “No!  I’ll go up there.”  And when I went up there, I carried into his presence.  I discovered it myself immediately after I left, that I’d carried it into his presence – health in my own mind, and healing in my spirit.  I carried a dominating, victorious spirit, and that man responded to it.  Do you know what happened to his body?  While I sat there, and I prayed for him, his spirit became adjusted.  The spirit in me received its help from the Lord, and I turned around, and I communicated something to his spirit, and it made contact.  And the man was healed.”

I want you to go over to Jeremiah.  And I don’t think I can out talk Jeremiah and Oral’s commentary on it, so we’re going to do both.  Jeremiah 1:4:  “Then the Word of the Lord came unto me, saying, “Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you.  Before you came forth out of your mother’s womb, I sanctified you.  And then I ordained you.?”

Where do we get off doing this, thinking I can only go to the ones who are high and mighty.  You know, I’ll preach to the choir, because the choir likes me.

But God said, “Listen.  I’ll use the things the world calls foolish to confound the wise.”  And God told me one time, and I told my daughter this.  I said, “This is the lesson Mama wants to teach you today above any lesson in the whole world: God looks at their heart.  Where their heart is, there is their treasure also.”

“Find where their heart is.  It might not be where your heart is.  Their heart may not be in the Word of God.  Their heart may not be in Christianity.  Find where their heart is, and there’s a thread in there.  When you find that thread, that something you can get to touch their heart, and when you touch their heart, you can eventually touch their spirit.”

And I said, “You find a kid that needs help, and you find something that’s important to them.  And you become a part of it. And as you become a part of it, you get into their heart.  And while the world is calling  you a fool, you are – you are a fool for Christ.  And He will use the things the world calls foolish to confound the wise.”

I said, “Never, ever, ever, ever listen to labels.”  And that’s when I got the can of dog food, and I read the label to my daughter.  And I said, “Honey, it would surprise you what’s on the inside.”

Every one of us can be surprised what’s on the inside of the person sitting next to us.  They’re not what they look like; they may not even be what they act like.  They may not even be what you label them.  And you know what?  You may not even be what you labeled them.  You are of God, little children.  Jesus said, “What you’ve done to the least of these, you’ve done unto Me.”

RR: “but the family never forgot the one who called and prayed the prayer of faith.  Mrs. Salem, who is here this morning, began to correspond with my father and became a Partner of our ministry, and prayed that the day would come that God would send her daughter a Holy Ghost husband.  God answered her prayer.  And 25 years ago, this woman, that I’m about to introduce, came into my life.  And she came into my life when I was at my lowest point. And over these 25 years has lifted me to my highest point.

How many of you have a husband or a wife?  Let’s see your hand.  How many of you would like to?  You’re looking?  Well, let me tell you what, they can make or break you, and you know it’s true.

Last night, the first time…I’ve seen it happen?I saw it happen to brother Kenneth Hagin several times.  Last night was the first time in my life when I tried to speak and no English words would come out of my mouth. I could not get an English word out.

I could pray in tongues when I prayed for people.  I could pray in tongues all I wanted, but I couldn’t get a word in English out.  I was giving hand signals, and Lindsay was my interpreter.  Well, she’s been my interpreter for 25 years.  But I thank God.

She stood beside me all last night.  She and I are going to lay hands on you this morning, and I believe there’s going to be an impartation.  I’ve already heard from so many ministers.  We had a wonderful breakfast across the street this morning, Pastor George and I.  We’ve already heard from a number of ministers this morning who felt like they really got a touch from God last night as we laid hands.  And I believe that’s going to continue this morning.  If you want hands laid on you, you’re going to get your wish today.  But more than your wish, I believe you’re going to receive an impartation.  And I believe it’s going to begin as Lindsay opens the Word of God this morning.  Honey, come on.  Give her a great God bless you.

Richard Roberts: She felt warmth.  Oftentimes people say that when I lay hands on them, they feel warmth.

INTERPRETER: He got more flexibility to move around now.

RR: Move around now.  Move your back now.  Is the pain gone?  The pain is gone.

INTERPRETER: She doesn’t have it anymore.

RR: Oh, you have no more pain?  It’s gone?

INTERPRETER: Completely gone.

RR: She’s gone.  Give praise to the Lord.  Hallelujah!  Bend your back.

INTERPRETER: It disappeared completely.

RR: It’s gone?

INTERPRETER: Gone, completely gone, disappeared.

RR: Now this afternoon the Lord gave me a vision that I would be doing that.  And He said He would heal all three.  That is a demonstration of the laying on of hands.  You say, “But you’re an evangelist.”  Well, that’s true.  You say, “Well, you have a special call to healing.”  Well, that’s true.  But I’m no more special than you.  He said, “You will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The only reason that would stop you is because you haven’t tried it.  Do you see healing in my hands?  Do you feel anything special about my hands?  They’re normal, right?  I have a normal hand.  My hands don’t heal.  Lindsay Roberts But when I release my faith and I pray in Jesus’ name and I expect a miracle, then my hands become an extension of the hands of Jesus.  But it’s not me.  It’s Him.  I give Him the honor.  I give Him the glory.

What I just did, you can do.  Now your mind may tell you, “It won’t work for me.”  And if you believe that lie, it won’t.  But you’ve got nothing to lose.

Oral Roberts – Now the second method is praying one for another.  And I grew up with that.  It’s in James, chapter 5, “Pray one for another that you may be healed.”  It means you pray for someone else’s healing, and that healing can come back to you.

What does that mean?  It means if you sow good seed, you’re going to reap a good harvest.  But it also means if you sow a bad seed, you’re going to reap a bad harvest.  Are we going to sow good seed, or are we going to sow bad seed?

According to Oral Roberts the book of Malachi talks about how God will multiply it back.  He said that we’re to bring our love gifts to God, to bring our tithe and our offering unto Him, and that when we do, He would open us the windows of heaven and He would pour us out a blessing, a blessing so big that there would be not be room enough to receive it.  And He would rebuke the devourer for our sake.

Opening the windows of heaven—only twice in the Bible does He mention opening the windows of heaven.  Once in Noah’s day, God opened the windows of heaven and there was a flood.  And everything was destroyed except one man and his family and two of all the animals that were on the earth.  That was a flood of destruction.

The second time He mentions the windows of heaven is in this scripture in Malachi. Lindsay Roberts believes that   He said, “I will open you the windows of heaven, and I will pour you out a blessing where there shall not be room enough to receive it.”  Then He said, “I will rebuke the devourer for your sake.”  Who was the devourer?  The devourer is the devil.

Richard Roberts – And the word rebuke literally means, “Stop it!  That’s enough!”  That means when we give to God, our love, our time, our money, our prayers, a seed we give to someone else, a smile, when we sow it, we are sowing it as unto God.  And God watches over that seed, and He causes that seed to grow.  And He uses it for His glory.  And He multiplies it back good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

Medical science today says that sickness and disease can be put into 39 categories.  According to Richard Roberts isn’t it amazing medical science is proving the Bible?  He took 39 stripes.  Each stripe was for a sickness and disease.  He shed His blood.  His back was bloodied and striped.  The blood was for your salvation, and the stripes were for your healing.

He loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever would believe on Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.  That’s the God I know.  That’s the God that saved me.  That’s the God who healed me.  That’s the God who delivered me.  That’s the God who set me free.  That’s the God who lives in me.  That’s why I say it’s not me.  It’s Him living in me.  Oh, hallelujah!

Oral Roberts believes the Bible says that He was acquainted with your grief.  What does that mean?  It means He knows who you are.  It means He knows where you live.  It means He knows what you’re going through.  It means He has salvation and healing for you.

He was despised and rejected by men.  They thought they were killing Him.  They didn’t understand that in just three days He would rise from the dead, showing himself alive and saying, “Because I live, you shall live also.”

Thank God for the blood of Jesus.  Thank God for His stripes He took.  The blood was for our redemption, and the stripes were for our healing.

Saving Souls - The Bible says that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him.  That Jesus I’m speaking of is in me by the power of the Holy Spirit.  His anointing is upon me to preach, to cause men and women’s faith to rise to believe God.

Ulcers, be healed.  Cancer in the blood, come out.  Cancer in the bone, come out.  Cancer in the cells, come out.  Cancer in the organs, come out.  Every sickness, every disease, every fear, and every doubt, come out now, in the name of Jesus.

Lindsay Roberts says that now lift your hands unto the Lord.  Lift your hands unto Him and begin to thank Him.  Thank Him for healing.  Let your faith go to Him.  Say, “Faith, in the name of Jesus, faith, I release you.  I give you to God, and I believe for my healing.”

Now praise Him.  Worship Him.  Give Him honor.  Give Him glory, in the name of Jesus.

Now there are quite a number of you being healed right now.  If you’re being healed in your back, I want you to stand up quickly.  If you’re being healed in your shoulders, stand up.  Stand up and examine yourself. Oral Roberts states that stand up and examine yourself.  Check your neck.  Check your shoulders.  Check your feet.  Check your legs.  Examine yourself.  Examine your vision.

If you can tell there’s a healing, come to the platform quickly.  If you can tell there’s a healing, come on down here.  Examine yourself.  Move your leg.  Move your hip.  Move your shoulder.  Move your feet.  Bend your back.  Examine your neck.  Examine yourself.

If you received healing, come to the front.  If you received healing and you know it, come on.  If you’re beginning to hear better, come here.  If you’re beginning to see better, come here.  If the back pain is gone, come here.  If the pain in your body is gone, come here.  If your breathing is better, come here.

Richard Roberts – If the pain is gone, come here.  Let’s just have a few testimonies this morning so that you’ll know and I’ll know that we’re serving a live God, not a dead God.

According to Lindsay Roberts well, how do I use my faith?  You use it through a point of contact.  A point of contact sets the time for you to let your faith go.  Now there’s one way that I can illustrate this.  It’s through a story of something that happened to me when I was a boy.

When I was a boy, I had—I don’t know how you translate it in French—I had 22 warts on my left hand, growths—22.  I was about ten years old.  Oral Roberts believes that and my mother came and said, “We’re going to the doctor, and we’re going to have the warts burned off.”

I was just a little boy, and I was frightened.  My father came home.  He said, “That’s fine, but let’s also pray.”  I said, “Yes, let’s pray.”  I was frightened because I had heard about how doctors took those needles, and I was scared.

So he took me in the bedroom and closed the door.  He said, “I’m going to pray.  And when I do, I want you to release your faith.”  I looked at him, and I said, “How do I release my faith?”

He said, “You do it through a point of contact.”  I said, “What do you mean point of contact?”  And he pointed to the light switch on the wall.  He said, “That is a point of contact.”  I said, “What do you mean?”

He said, “The switch is a point of contact.”  He said, “It has no power, but it’s hooked up to the power company.  And when you push the switch, you touch the power company and the lights come on.”

Richard Roberts – He said, “Now the faith in your heart is just like that light switch.  When I pray,” he said, “you let your faith go to God, just like you turn on the light switch.  And then you watch what happens.”
