SUE JESTER: Yes, I do.  In Alpharetta, Georgia, we have a lady named Christine, were in a car accident in September and broke both of her shoulders.

RR: Excuse me.  Pain on the lower side excuse me, the middle of the left side of your back is leaving you now.  I mean the pain is going right now.  Even as Sue is giving this testimony, the pain in your back right here is leaving in Jesus’ name.  Come on, lift your hands and give God praise.  The healing power of God is alive right now, and you can receive your healing in the authority of Jesus’ name.  I speak to your back and command it to be made whole in Jesus’ name.  Get up and call us and let us know what God is doing.  Sorry, Sue.

SJ: That’s God.

RR: When He interrupts, I’ve got to obey.

SJ: That’s right.  She rebroke her left shoulder…

LR: Oh, my word.

RR: Rebroke it.

SJ: She was

RR: after the accident in September.

SJ: Yes, yes.

LR: rebroke it?

SJ: And then she had another problem, and her left shoulder was broken again.  She had two doctors tell her that she had to have surgery.  They took her into the operating room, and when she came out, they told her, “You’re healed,” after she had watched you and claimed the word of knowledge.

RR: Is she on the phone?

SJ: She’s on the phone.

RR: Hello, Christine.

CHRISTINE: Hello.

RR: How are you tonight?

CHRISTINE: Fine.  How are you?

RR: I’m just fine.  Tell me, Christine, what exactly happened in September, and what happened when we prayed on this program?

CHRISTINE: I was in a horrible car accident in September and had several injuries, but the worst injuries were the broken shoulders.  And I rebroke my shoulder.  And I was watching you one night, and you pointed to a bone in your left shoulder, and I prayed and prayed, and cried and prayed.  And I found out I needed surgery, went in, they knocked me out and everything, took me into the OR, and I woke up an hour later and they said they had to give me another medication to wake me up because I didn’t have to have the surgery.  I was healed.

LR: Hallelujah.

RR: Healed?

CHRISTINE: My arm is not broke.

LR: Yay!  Thank God.

RR: Well, what did you feel when we prayed on the program?

CHRISTINE: I didn’t feel anything.  It just must not have been the time. God must have healed me somewhere between rolling from getting ready for the surgery into the surgery, but I prayed when they put the thing over my nose, and I said, “Please, God, just be with me through this operation.”  And I woke up an hour later and I was healed.

RR: You mean I prayed for your shoulder on the program

CHRISTINE: You pointed to it.

RR: and then you went to surgery

CHRISTINE: You pointed to the exact spot that the bone was broke.  It was sticking out of my arm.  You pointed to it.

RR: I pointed to it.

CHRISTINE: Right.

RR: How is the shoulder tonight?

CHRISTINE: It’s a little sore, but it’s not broke.

LR: Pray for the soreness.

The Presence of God by Richard Roberts

And I feel your hurt right now.  I feel it my heart.  And that is linked to the physical sickness that’s in your body, some of you right now.  But God is going to set you free tonight because what you’re going to do is we’re in the presence of God right now what you’re going to do is, you’re going to say, “Lord, I’ve sinned against You.”  Well, you say, “I didn’t do anything wrong.”  Yes, you did.  You held unforgiveness, and that is a sin.  Two wrongs have never made a right.  Yes, what was done to you was wrong, but the sin of unforgiveness is not justified by what was done to you.  It is time for you to say, “Father, forgive me.  I’ve sinned against You by holding unforgiveness.”  That’s the way to freedom tonight.  Amen.

I want to pray with you.  Just say this together with me. Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to forgive me for holding unforgiveness against those who have hurt me.  Lord, I have believed that I’ve been right.  But tonight by the power of Your Word, my eyes have been opened and I see now that I have sinned.

This night, O God, I ask You to forgive me and to cleanse me, for I have sinned.  And now, Lord, from my heart I forgive.  Now say the names of those people that hurt you.  I forgive my mom, my dad, my pastor, my friend.  Say them right now.  Release them out loud.  You’re in the presence of God. Release them.  This is the altar.  You’ve come to the altar. Release them now.  Forgive them in Jesus’ name.

Now say this, say, Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to forgive them, for they know not what they did.  In Jesus’ name. Now, Father, in the name of Jesus I pray for these men and women right now.  I speak to the cancer.  I speak to the tumors that have latched themselves upon these men’s and women’s bodies that are watching right now.  I speak to you in the name of Jesus. You have had legal right to hang on up to this point, but now they have chosen to forgive.  And I adjure you in the name of Jesus Christ, loose them and let them go.  You have held on to God’s child long enough, and I command the sickness, the arthritis, the disease, to go from that brother and sister now, in Jesus’ name.

RR: for us.  We thank you.  We appreciate your prayers.  We give thanks to God for you who are praying for this ministry, praying for ORU, praying for all that we are doing for God.  Lindsay, one other word of knowledge.  Someone who has a tremendous problem with your esophagus, esophagus backup, you’re being healed right now by the power of God.  It’s like there’s just a burst of healing going through your chest.

LR: Hallelujah.

RR: right now in Jesus’ name, and you’re being healed.  Whoever you are, examine yourself.  Get up and call us and let us know what He’s doing.

LR: Several police officers or families of police officers

RR: Oh, we’re still getting calls from them.

LR: tons of calls coming in and

RR: From last night.

LR: Yes.  If you would like to send that name of a loved one or if you are a police officer and would like us to continue praying. One lady sent in from Indiana and said three brothers are all policemen and gave us the names of all three brothers.

RR: Last night I asked those who are in law enforcement or have a loved one in law enforcement to call and let us know their names so that we can put a prayer covering over them and believe for their safety.

LR: Yes.

RR: If you’d like to continue to do that, we’ll continue to pray

LR: This said his brother and son.

RR: and believe God for a miracle.  Many, many calls coming like that.  Other testimonies, other prayer requests coming.  I’m expecting the healing power of God to flow in your life from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet. Lindsay, there’s one other word concerning someone’s lower back.  Can you take these?

LR: Yep.

RR: Right here in your lower back, God is healing you right now. It’s like a bone spur and God’s …

LR: Glory be to God.

RR: you right now.  Hallelujah, hallelujah.  I give glory to God for what He’s doing in your life.

LR: Right now pray for a minister, 56 years old, cancer in his brain and in the stomach.  In Jesus’ name

RR: In the authority of Jesus’ name, I come against cancer in the brain and the trouble in the stomach.  I rebuke it in Jesus’ name.  I pray for you to be healed.  I send the word to you in the authority of the name of Jesus, whose name is above every name named in heaven and earth.  Amen. If you need further prayer, call the prayer group.

LR: Yes.

RR: We’ll see you tomorrow night.  Remember, this is your hour of healing!  Good night.

RR: The conference is coming up

LR & RR: October 9, 10, and 11.

RR: It’s especially for ladies, but I understand you’re having some men who want to come.

LR: Yeah, you’re going to be one of the speakers, so you get to be there.  Isn’t that exciting?

RR: Harry and Cheryl Salem will be

LR: Harry and Cheryl Salem.

RR:  speaking.  Vicky Jamison-Peter will be

LR: Yep.

RR: speaking.

LR: Sandi Redmond will be.

RR: Sandi Redmond.

LR: Lindsay Roberts.

RR: Are you the opening night speaker?

LR: Ahh, yeah.

RR: You know, we’re going to be live on the air that night as you begin your conference, 8 to 9 Central time.

LR: Ahhh, yep, we can do all things

RR: And we’re going to have

LR: through Christ

RR: your conference

LR: who strengthens us.

RR: and have the program.  We may just have to bring the two together in some way.

LR: That will be fun.

RR: Ladies, if you’d like the experience of your life, consider Lindsay’s upcoming women’s conference, October 9, 10, and 11.  We believe

LR: It is definitely an experience.

RR: it is going to be fantastic.  And if you want to bring your husband, I’ll be there and it will be just fine.  I’ll take good care of him, okay?

LR: That’s a scary thought.

RR: I want you to meet award-winning author and longtime friend of ORU, of this ministry, and of our family, Cliff Taulbert.  Give him a good welcome.  Clifton, God bless you for coming and sharing. Here is the newest book, Eight Habits of the Heart, the timeless values that build strong communities within our homes and our lives.  Now your first book, Once When We Were Colored

CT: Right.

RR: has become a national bestseller.  I know

CT: I just got an Email this morning

RR: Oh, did you?

CT: in Belgium that it is now showing in Belgium.  He said and I was really happy to hear that.

RR: It’s been made into a major motion picture starring?

CT: Felicia Rashaad and Al Freeman, Jr.

RR: It’s being seen all over the country.  We’ve seen it.  It’s been shown locally, nationally, and now around the world.  You received a prestigious award from the NAACP recently for their.

CT: For the 27th annual Outstanding Contribution to American Literature.

RR: Then your Pulitzer nominee, the second book .

CT: Yeah, The Last Train North.

RR:  The Last Train North, has been read all across this nation and literally around the world, and now you’re being called on to travel all over the world to speak.  Haven’t you just come from the Mississippi.

CT: Just from.

RR: Humanities

CT: Yeah, in Jackson, Mississippi, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Mississippi Humanities Council, and that to me was a real move of God as it relates to me as a writer because twenty-five years ago I probably would not have been invited to give that keynote address.  But it shows you exactly what God does, how He does it, when we let Him do it.

RR: What is this book all about, Eight Habits of the Heart?

CT: Well, Richard, I was trying to think, how could I explain this to this wonderful audience that you have.  But in the 133rd Psalm, David said, “How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Now that’s a place.  What does it take to get to that place?  The Eight Habits of the Heart, which are nurturing attitude, responsibility, dependability, friendship, brotherhood, high expectations, courage, and hope when those eight ideals are practiced daily by individuals such as ourselves, we will find that place that David talked about, that place of unity and peace where brethren dwell together.

RR: Well, you’re also talking about the possibility of race relation healings.

CT: You can’t have unity, you know. You can’t have all that God wants you to have unless you’re thinking about, “How can I share that with my brother?” whomever that brother or sister might be.

RR: I noticed on the news this morning that today is the 40th anniversary of the desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, and I understand President Clinton has been in Arkansas today marking that historic event.  What word do you have to say …  With what you went through as a child and, of course, you’ve written about it extensively, you’ve talked about it all over this campus a number of times and literally all over the world, and now here you are talking about relationships and how people can be one.  And Jesus said that we all might come into the unity, that we might come into harmony and unity.  What word do you have to people who are having difficulty with relationships?

But we need your help.  And it’s a joy to give you an opportunity to sow a seed of your faith of $40 for one square foot of that magnificent phase two.  And, incidentally, phase two will be five times as large as phase one.  And it will carry you throughout the rest of the Old Testament, all the way up to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.  And I’ll be sharing more about that later.  But I want you to have an opportunity to get your copy in leather of The Roberts Family Guide To Miracles For The Rest Of Your Life. Praise God for it.  Sow a seed.  Write me, Richard Roberts, Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Or if you live in Canada, Richard Roberts, Toronto, Ontario.  Or you can pick up the telephone and call the Abundant Life Prayer Group at 918-495-7777 and say, I want to sow a seed to help you build that Healing Outreach Center, phase two.

And we will send The Roberts Family Guide To Miracles For The Rest Of Your Life By Oral, Evelyn, Richard and Lindsay Roberts immediately to you in the mail.  I believe it will be a blessing.  Cheryl Prewitt Salem is here and is going to minister in song in a moment.  But, Cheryl, before I turn to you, I want to bring you a great report, an ulcer healing in Tucson, Arizona, just got word of that.  From Gilmer, Texas, a shoulder healed when we prayed on the program.  From Tacoma, Washington, another shoulder problem, “for weeks, but I’ve been set free. Richard, you gave a word of knowledge that someone’s shoulder is being healed and all the pain disappeared.” From Wilmington, North Carolina.  “I’ve had asthma for three years. But last week on your program someone gave a word of knowledge that asthma was being healed.  I’ve had asthma so bad and it’s kept me in bed a lot since January, but now since you prayed I’ve gone back to my doctor.

My doctor has taken me off all of my medication and I am healed.”  Hallelujah.  Give the Lord a great cheer.  And from right here in Tulsa, headache pain is gone and an eye healed. Oh, thank God for that.  Thank God for the healing power of God.  And later in this program we’re going to pray the prayer of faith for you. So get yourself ready.  Right now Cheryl Prewitt Salem is standing by to minister the gospel in song.  I’m proud that Cheryl is a part of our television family and we receive so many calls and letters letting us know that Cheryl is a blessing to you.  And I’m proud to introduce her to minister the gospel in song.  At the piano, Cheryl Prewitt Salem, Miss America 1980.  God bless you, Cheryl. Minister’s Conference Spot

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS June 23, 24, 25, the Oral Roberts Minister’s Conference and the Charismatic Bible Ministries Conference together.  And you’ll want to attend that if you are a minister of the gospel.  Already thousands of people have made their reservations and the hotels are filling up very fast, or some of them have already filled.  But I’ve got good news. The dormitories at ORU are being rented out during this great conference.  For $20 a night you can stay right here on campus in a dormitory.  And we thank God for those dormitory rooms.

Somebody may get to stay in the room I stayed in when I was born again while I was a student here at Oral Roberts University.  If you’re a minister of the gospel, come and enjoy this exciting conference, the Oral Roberts Minister’s Conference in association with the Charismatic Bible Ministries Fellowship, the fastest growing fellowship in America, June 23, 24 and 25.  I believe it will be a blessing in your  life.  My very special guest today is Don Potter.  Don is a musician. He is the guitarist and arranger for the country and western singing group called The Judds.  I’ve seen them many times on television.  He has quite a remarkable testimony.  But before he and I share that testimony with you, I want him to take his guitar and minister the gospel to you in song.  So right now I want you to join me in welcoming the man who is the guitarist and who is the arranger for The Judds.  His name is Don Potter.  God richly bless you, Don, as you minister and as you sing the gospel.  Here he is.
