His word by Richard Roberts

31 August, 2011 (05:05) | Richard Roberts | By: admin

In the name of the Lord, I send the word to you tonight, be healed.  Now I reach in by faith.  Now stay with me.  The Lord’s been having me do this a lot lately.  I reach in, I take hold of that thing and pull it out of you, in the authority of the name of the Lord.

I send His word to you tonight for healing.  I rebuke the migraine headache.  Come out, in the name of Jesus.  Be healed of every sickness, including sickle cell anemia.  I rebuke the AIDS.  I rebuke the AIDS virus.  I rebuke the COPD, in Jesus’ name.  I rebuke all those letters, ALS, COPD, whatever it is.  In the name of the Lord, I rebuke it.  I command it to come off you, to come out of you, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Now right where you are, lift your hands.  Begin to give praise.  Begin to give honor.  Begin to say, “I speak forth the healing into my life,” just like that woman said, “If I can touch the corner of His garment, I’ll be healed.”

And Jesus whirled around and said, “Who touched me?”  You’re touching the Lord.  He’s touching you.  He’s touching you, and you’re touching Him.  Be healed in Jesus’ name.  Oh, hallelujah!  People are getting healed all over the world, across America.  Get up and call the TBN prayer line and give your testimony.  God wants people well.  He wants people well.

Into The Kingdom Of God by Richard Roberts

24 August, 2011 (04:16) | Richard Roberts | By: admin

That’s what He said to my father about us who have come through ORU.  He said that, “Their work will exceed yours, and in that I am well pleased.”

We took a census this past spring.  God told me to find out how many have been won into the kingdom of God this year through ORU, its students and graduates all over the world.  And we took a census.  And we found that through ORU we had 665,000 souls come to Christ in the last year.  (Applause)

And that is not an updated number.  That number is still rising, because we’re still hearing from alumni around the world.  I just talked with one of our alumni in Argentina just the other day, who has added 17,000 souls in his ministry this year to that number.  So that number is going up.

And the Lord said, “I want you to double that this next year.”

Like a fool, I said, “Why?”  Don’t we ask the craziest questions?  “Why?”

He said, “Because My Son, He’s coming back.  And there’s an end-time harvest of souls coming into the kingdom of God.”

It’s not going to bankrupt heaven if more than one gets saved in your church, if more than two, if more than three.

Ministers across the world are telling me now they’re seeing the largest altar calls in their churches and in their ministries that they have ever seen.  It’s because God is gathering in an end-time harvest of souls.

Why are we here when He wants us to be there?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve decided to live there.  Anybody want to live there?  And when there becomes here, I’m going there.

Stand up on your feet with me.  I want all the Trustees to step out, and I want Trustees to go to each aisle way, about how many?  About five in each of the rows, all of you Trustees and spouses, all of you Trustees and spouses.

God speaks with His almighty voice by Richard Roberts

18 August, 2011 (10:55) | Richard Roberts | By: admin

What a day that must have been!  What a moment, when God speaks with His almighty voice.  And all Elijah wanted to do was rehearse the problem.  God’s not interested in hearing about all the problems.  What He’s looking for is someone who will stand up strong in faith and believe.  And as Lindsay has taught tonight, to allow that substance that’s on the inside of us to come out.

I can’t begin to tell you what I’ve been through these past 13 years.  I did not major in business at ORU.  I did not minor in business at ORU.  But in the past 13 years, as President of this university, I have learned a lot about business.  I have become a businessman.

And that is scriptural, because Jesus said, Harold, that I’m to be about my Father’s business.  Well, I have been a businessman for these past 13 years.  And the experiences that I have had, it’s unbelievable.  If I told you some of the things I went through, you would think I was lying.  You can’t imagine the things that I have had said and done to me and about me while being President of ORU and the attacks that have come.

You can’t imagine the money I have been offered if I’ll just allow, if I’ll take the Holy Spirit out of this campus, if I’ll just close down the Prayer Tower and stop having the chapels.

One man wanted to meld his school with ORU so he could be in charge and become the new President and put millions of dollars.  You can’t believe what I’ve had offered.  And most people won’t know and will never know because I’ll never tell the details, because it doesn’t matter.  Who cares what somebody said or what somebody did?

Turn to the person next to you and say, “Who cares?”  (Response)  What was that country and western song, “Here’s a quarter.  Call somebody who cares.”

What was I talking about before I started talking about quarters?

Listen, my friends, being President of a university is not all it’s cracked up to be.  You take on more than $60 million of debt.  One day I owed nobody.  The next day I owed everybody.  My hair went white.  Thank God for Miss Clairol.

The gifts of the Spirit by Richard Roberts

10 August, 2011 (06:34) | Richard Roberts | By: admin

And by-the-way, two or three of the gifts of the Spirit can operate together at the same time.  And people are so hungry for the supernatural.  If you will allow these things to flow through you and not be embarrassed and not feel like you’re weird or strange, you’ll find they’ll begin to manifest more.

Elijah gave her a word of wisdom and she took that word of wisdom. And the Bible says, “When she got hungry again, they did eat many days.”  It’s estimated she cooked a thousand meals out of the empty meal barrel and cruse of oil, because Elijah gave her a word of wisdom.

In John chapter eight, you see the story of the woman who was caught in adultery, and they threw her at the feet of Jesus.  They picked up the rocks to kill her, because they knew the Law of Moses. And they were required by the law to kill her, because of her indiscretion.

And they turned to Jesus and said, “We caught her in the very act.  What should we do?”  And Jesus sat on the ground writing.  When He looked up He gave a word of wisdom:  “Let Him who is without sin cast the first stone.”

It’s amazing how in a moment, God will give you a word of wisdom. We often, as Christians we will say, “Well, I can’t say that.  I don’t want to say that.  I might seem strange or I might seem weird.”  Virtually everyone in this room has had this happen.  The question is: Are you allowing it to come out?  Or are you suppressing it?

You say, “Well, I don’t want to step out there.  I don’t want to step out there, there’s nothing out there.”  That’s when God will use you the most, if you’ll allow yourself to be used.

“Let him who’s without sin cast the first stone.”  And pretty soon the Bible says they were pricked by their own conscience; they dropped their rocks and began to walk away.  And Jesus said, “Where are your accusers?”  She said, “There are none.”  He said, “Neither do I accuse you.  Go and sin no more.”  That was an operation of the word of wisdom.

One of the greatest examples I’ve ever heard was a story that my father told and has told me since I was a boy.  He was ministering in India once when a pastor came to him and said, “Brother Roberts, I have a problem.  A woman in our church came and brought the body of her son who had died, laid him in my arms and said, “Please pray.”  He said, “I don’t really believe in God raising people from the dead, but before I knew it I prayed.  And to my amazement, God raised the boy from the dead!?”

And my father said, “What’s your problem?”  He said, “Brother Roberts, did I do the right thing?”  (LAUGHTER)  Quick as a flash, God gave my father a word of wisdom.  “Why don’t you ask the little boy if you did the right thing?”  Oh sure I did the right thing.  And that man got called into the healing ministry as a result of it.

Methods of Healing by Richard Roberts

I have said things on national televisions that have been so shocking to me.  I remember one night Lindsay and I were on television, and I heard the Lord say, “Richard, say this.  There’s a man who’s had three of his fingers cut off in Vietnam in the 1960?s.  They stitched them back on, but he’s had no use and no feeling since the late 1960?s. Tell him I’m healing his hand now.”

I said, “God, are You aware I’m on live national television?”  And I said, “God, what if You’re wrong?”

I’ll never forget the look on Lindsay’s face when I blurted it out of my mouth.  She looked at me.  Her eyes came out on stems.  She didn’t say anything, but that look said something that you ladies know.  You know that look, don’t you?  I know you husbands know that look.

I said it, and I gasped.  “Oh, my, Lord, what did I say?”  I said it just like the Holy Spirit said it.  I said, “O Lord, please let the phone ring.  Let somebody call.  Let me find somebody who lost a hangnail or something.”

And if you’ve seen our program, we have about 40 to 50 telephones and we can take live calls.  And Sue, who’s sitting over here, was so excited.  She came over and she said, “Oh, there’s a man on the phone right now.  He says he’s the one.”  I said, “Put him on the line.”  Oh, why did you put him on the line?

He said, “Richard, in 1969 I was in Vietnam.  Three of my fingers were cut off.  They sewed them back on.  I’ve had no use, no feeling for all these years.”  He said, “I could take my finger, I could slam it against the wall and not have any feeling whatsoever.”  He said, “When you said that word, something happened.  For the first time since 1969, I can feel my fingers and I’ve got use of them.”  (Applause)

I looked over at Lindsay.  You know, the gifts of the Spirit work through us all, but most of the time when they do we try to explain it away.  “Oh, well, I wonder what that was?”  Or, “Well, that was unusual, must have just been me.”  We explain it away.  Instead of saying, “Lord, is that You?  Lord, I’m listening.”  Isn’t that what Samuel said when he was a boy, “I’m listening, Lord.”  Say it again, Lord.  You know, you’re not insulting the Lord when you say, “Say that one more time.  Let me feel it in my heart.”

The gift of discernment works through us more than we have any idea, and I works especially big in women.  Now I didn’t say the gift of faults, of discerning faults.  I said the gift of discernment.  Why does it work more in women than men?  Because women are emotionally made and are more sensitive.  The gift of discernment works much bigger in Lindsay than it works in me, but it works in all of us.
